Hi, I’m Saundra - the new Digital Marketing Specialist with just four months in the event rental industry, I’m excited to kick off this series of in-depth interviews with our sales team—not only to highlight the people who are truly the glue of our company, but also to better understand the event rental industry in Pittsburgh and beyond.
Get to know Becky, Event Source’s Market Manager in Pittsburgh
Becky has been with Event Source for thirteen years. When I ask her what the best piece of advice, she’s received during that time is; she pauses—explaining she’s been given so much good advice over the years. Later, she follows up with a thoughtful answer:

“You can’t change the outcome of a situation, but you can change how you react to it.”
We start our conversation on a lighter note, talking about what we’re currently reading. Becky is a self-proclaimed mystery and suspense junkie, currently loving author Freida McFadden, known for books like The Housemaid and Dear Debbie.
When she’s not working or reading, Becky is deeply involved in her daughter’s competitive cheer team—serving on the board and attending competitions. When I ask what draws her to stay so involved, she shares that it’s a family tradition; she was a cheerleader herself.
Becky describes her sales approach as highly hands-on. She likes to be involved from beginning to end—soup to nuts—from mood boards and design to layout and on-site execution. It’s no surprise, then, that when I ask what superpower she’d choose, she says the ability to be in two places at once.
She approaches each client and event uniquely, emphasizing that attention to detail is everything in the Pittsburgh event rental industry. Whether she’s working on a wedding, gala, or corporate event, every detail matters. Understanding the desired outcome—down to what each guest should feel or remember—is key. She makes it a priority to identify non-negotiables early on, ensuring that if adjustments need to be made, those core elements are always protected.

Her personal design philosophy? Avoid cookie-cutter events at all costs. Becky loves creating depth—whether through varying table sizes, layered textures, or intentional color choices. Contact Becky for your next event!
She shares a recent favorite: the Jewish Community Center’s Big Night event. Each year features a new theme, and Becky collaborates with a talented group of vendors to bring it to life. This year’s theme was the Kentucky Derby, with each room featuring its own sub-theme. As she walks through the details of each space, her excitement is undeniable.
It becomes clear why her favorite part of working in the event rental industry in Pittsburgh is that:
“It’s always something different—every day, every project. There’s always a unique element to each event.”
It’s that passion and adaptability that make Becky such an integral part of the Event Source team—and a perfect example of what makes Pittsburgh events so memorable.
